Grace Rose Bauer-Nicklaus, 81, of Brentwood, died June 3, 2008.

She was the wife of the late Gerald Bauer; mother of Mark (Sandra) Bauer, Tim (Margie) Bauer and Tina (William Lenhart) Cassidy; grandmother of Sabrina, Melissa, Mark Jr., Craig, Amber, Michael and Daniel; great-grandmother of Mack-enzie, Rebecca and Angel; sister of Gertrude Katich, Arthur and Raymond McKnight and the late Gloria, Elmer, Mary, Dorothy, Gladys and Lillian; best buddy of Misty Bleu, her cat.

Don Beech
Merchant Marine

Don Beech, 84, of Brentwood, formerly of Overbrook, died Sunday, June 1, 2008.

He was the husband of Alice (Newbould) Beech; father of Don Beech of Addison, Pa. and Sue Veverka of Whitehall; pap pap of Luke (Nicole) Veverka of Jefferson Hills and Dale (Misty) Veverka of Pittsburgh; great-grandpap of Ryan; brother of the late Geraldine Wilhelm. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mr. Beech served with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a Shriner and a member of the former South Gate Marshall Lodge 808, currently South Hills Lodge 761.

Grandmother of nine

Gloria Goughnour of Brentwood, died Monday, June 2, 2008.

She was the wife of the late George Goughnour; mother of Barbara Meeks of Fla., Debra Lazrovitch of Ky., David Goughnour and the late Victoria Goughnour; daughter of the late Robert and Beulah (Genge) Smith; sister of the late Cleo Tidball.

Frances Olcott, 76, of Pleasant Hills, died Monday, June 2, 2008.

She was the wife of the late Richard; mother of Robert (Diane) and Brian (Kimberly); daughter of the late Twyla Cromer; grandmother of Lindsay (Doug) Hodak, Benjamin and Heather.

Armeda Rongaus
Dance group member

Armeda Rongaus, 92, of Whitehall, formerly of Donora, died Monday, June 2, 2008.

She was the wife of 60 years to Leon Rongaus (Roncace'); daughter of the late Emma Wardell. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rongaus was a member of Alvinites Dance Group during the 1940s and '50s and was responsible for her husband's success of the Redwood in Donora.

John Rechtorik
Married 43 years

John Andrew Rechtorik, 67, of Baldwin Boro, died on June 3, 2008, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

He was the son of the late Anthony and Anna Rechtorik; husband of 43 years to Bonnie (Bornschlegel); father of Deborah Rechtorik, Jeffrey (Shari) , Kevin (Lori) and Mark (Maria) Rechtorik; Pappy to Paul, Daphne, Bradley, Joshua, Jacob, Kayla, Thomas, Evan, Madison, Audrey, Olivia and Ava; brother of Anthony (Beverly) and Vincent (Don-na); nephew of Margaret Drapp, Joseph (Marlene) Drapp, Sr. Dominic Rechtorik, Steve (Irene) Rechtorik, Mildred Ziegler and Adeline Lenert and predeceased by Sr. Mary Elizabeth Drapp, Sr. Bernice Rechtorik, Louise Kuzel and many other loving aunts and uncles; brother-in-law of Bob and Pat Bornschlegel. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Della Zees, 83, of Brentwood, died June 5, 008.

She was the wife of the late Walter Zees; mother of Debra Blair and the late William Zees; grandmother of Melinda McFarland, David and Scott Blair; great-grandmother of Chelsey and Christine McFarland; sister of Eliza-beth Miller, Stella Mamula and the late Ann Dodrill, Charles, Nick and Rudy Grubesky.

James Rambo
Avid hunter

James Rambo of Whitehall, formerly of Hopwood, Pa., died Thursday, June 5, 2008.

He was the husband of Janis (Emory); father of Kim (Aaron) Beatty and Jimmy; lovingly known as "Pappy Jim" to Maya and A.J. Beatty; son of Jean (George) Mt Joy; and the late Laverne Rambo; brother of Mark (Rose) Rambo, Jeff Rambo and Linda Denny; son-in-law of Marjorie Emory and the late Charles; brother-in-law of Tim Emory, Lee (Mark) Latorre, Kris (Jim) Burns. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Rambo was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School in 1968 and a member of the 1968 Basketball State Champion Team. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsmen, and an enthusiastic sports fan. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army (military police) serving in Germany from 1972-1974. He retired from AT&T after 32 years.

Carl Winer Jr., 75, of Brentwood, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008.

He was the husband of the late Bernadette Winer; father of Carl, William, David, Richard and Barbara Winer. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Helen Hinkel.

Rosalinda D'Orazio
Born in Italy

Rosalinda D'Orazio, 81, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Donora, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born May 26, 1927, in Torre dei Passeri, Italy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grazia and Nicola DiMatteo. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Pio D'Orazio; children Paul (Peggy) D'Orazio of Massachusetts, Sue (Ed) Generazio of Virginia, Grace (Steve) Sherman of Jefferson Hills and Robert (Lisa) D'Orazio of Mt. Lebanon; sister Velia DiPietro of Quincy, Mass.; nephews Vince and Nick DiPietro; grandchildren Amy D'Orazio, Rose and Eddie Generazio, Nicholas, Alex, Dean and Andrew Sherman, Michael, Vincent and Emma D'Orazio.

The family would like to thank Lauretta Gardner, Katie Fulton and Carol Warnes for their love and support.

She was the wife of Ron Stefanakis; mom of Jaime (David) Petrosky and Jessica (Armand) Martin; nana of Zachary and Taylor Martin; sister of Janet (Ken) Malle and the late Linda (Joe) Knapick; preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Vivian Szewczyk.
