Dahn Ober, 52, of Whtiehall, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008.
He was the husband of Debby (Nairn) Ober; father of Dahn Lewis, Desirae and Deidra Ober; son of the late Dahn and Eleanor (Kweder) Ober; brother of Lynn Tate, Jann Freund, Jayni Bonacuro and Mark Ober. Also survived by granddaughter Maia Grace Ober.

She was the wife of James for 57 years; mother of Pat Pyle-Blatz (Frank), Nancy Petrichko (Ron), Matthew (Joann), Mark, Luke (Patty) and John (Dereen) Neice and Norma Andrulonis; grandmother of Jenna Davis, Emily Rickman, Jason and Joshua Kicinski, Eric, Rachel, Ryan, Jimmy, Amber, Ashley, Isabella, Luke Jr., Becky, Jackie, John Jr. and Stephanie Neice and Steven and Eleni Andrulonis; great-grandmother of five.

John Winter
retired draftsman
John Winter, 81, of Baldwin, died Monday, July 28, 2008.
He was born in Pittsburgh and was a retired senior draftsman for Mesta Machine Co. and General Dynamics.
Mr. Winter served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was a member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church and a founding member of the South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company.
He was the son of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Moss) Winter.
He was the husband of the late Shirley (Gardner), having been married for 54 years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Mosso and brother, Robert.
He is survived by his brother Ronald (Donna) of Plum; his sons, John Douglas of Clemmons, N.C., David (Dorothy) of Akron, Ohio and Richard (Denise) of Brentwood. He is survived by five grandchildren, Jonathan, Megan, Tamara, Melanie (Joshua) and Brooke (Joseph) and one great-grandson, Deegan.

Audrey Smith

Audrey Smith, 80, of Jefferson Hills, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at home. She was born July 4, 1928, in Pittsburgh and just had celebrated her 80th birthday.
Mrs. Smith was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Whitehall, and lead tearer for the Holy Tearer bedpad-making group.
She was known to her family and friends for her homemade chocolate candy pieces at Easter and Christmas, which she shared readily, and her special jellies and jam.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Gilbert Smith; son, Timothy (Marie) Smith, of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Laura Chevez, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Damon, Tiana, Richardo and Edwardo; brothers, sisters; nieces; nephews; extended family; Rose Marie Ankney, and all of the Talaricos near and far.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church, 418 Maxwell Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Arrangements by Gilbert Funeral Homes and Crematory.
