Mount Union

Elena Hoellein, a Pittsburgh resident and senior biology major at Mount Union College was named to the dean's list for the 2005 spring semester.

Wake Forest University

Jefferson Hills residents Amy Hosmer and Maxell Langfitt earned degrees from Wake Forest University last month. Both received bachelor of science degrees in biology.

Duquesne honors

Thomas Jefferson High School graduate Courtney Kunkel of Jefferson Hills was named to the dean's list at Duquesne University's school of nursing for the spring semester. She has just completed her freshman year at Duquesne. She is the daughter of William Kunkel.

Zungre

Jonathan Zungre, a 2000 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, received his bachelor of arts degree in communication from Grove City College last month. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Zungre of Clairton.

Nuss

Kirsten Nuss, a 2001 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School received a diploma last week from Ohio University. A four-year dean's list student, Nuss graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration in marketing, management and strategic leadership. She has accepted a position with Bechtel Corp. in Monroeville.

Zajac

Amanda Zajac, a 2003 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School made the dean's list at California University of Pennsylvania for the spring semester. She is the daughter of Raymond and Lynnette Zajac of Pleasant Hills. Zajac is a member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, where she will serve as historian for the coming school year.

Reitmeyer

Craig Reitmeyer was named to the dean's list for 2005 spring semester at Carnegie Mellon University. He is chemistry major in the Mellon School of Science. Craig is the recipient of the Gulentz Memorial Scholarship and the PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) Academic Excellence Scholarship. Craig is a 2004 graduate (valedictorian) of Brentwood High School.

Susnjar

Jessica Lee Susnjar received two bachelor of arts degrees during Mercyhurst College's commencement last month. The daughter of George and Marsha Susnjar of Jefferson Hills, Jessica completed her studies in dance and world language education. Jessica is a 2001 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. While at Mercyhurst, she performed in "The Nutracker" ballet with the Erie Ballet Company, as well as performances with the Mercyhurst College dancers. She plans to return to Marcyhurst in the fall to do her student teaching for Spanish at West Lake Middle School.
