Problems with new roads in Brentwood

I would like to know how many Brentwood residents are having trouble using their driveways due to new road construction? I am a resident and am having trouble using my driveway and have been told too bad they can't accomodate me, yet they have fixed a neighbors driveway and gave another neighbor money. The neighbor took the money because he was unsatified with how they tried to correct their driveway. How many people have been offered money and how many have been offered nothing? The engineer who was the project manager told me to pay more attention to the driveway next time we buy a house-WHAT does that have to do with the current situation?????

How much money we talking about? Did the boro pay the neighbor the money or the engineer?
$2500.00 to the neighbor. The engineer should have been fired for how he treated the residents especially how he talked to them, but of course we renewed their contract. The company received numerous complaints about the engineer, but nothing was done. What is wrong with this boro????????? Do they care about their residents????
When they did the roadwork around Brownsville and Brentridge, they did a horrible job. They knocked down my wall behind my house and told us not to worry that in the spring they would fix it. We even let them park some of their equipment in our driveway. Well when spring came they never fixed it. The construction company said that they asked the neighbors and the neighbors said the wall had fallen down before they started. The truth is that the wall was leaning but all the pressure from the jack hammers, etc, knocked the wall down. Anyhow, we went to the borough about it and no one did nothing about it. They tore up our grass, never properly replaced curbs. They ripped off the public and should not be allowed to work in this borough again. A few elderly folks stopped by one day and asked if they ever fixed our wall. They also told me how they had pay someone to fix their curbs because these unprofessional contractors left a mess of their sidewalks. Brentwood officials WAKE UP! Don't let this happen again.
I understand, the point is the wall was there before the work and they should have fixed it like it was before. This boro stinks and they could careless about its residents. I would like to know if any of the boro employees would except this if it was happening to them. Mayor Lockhart, when are you going to stand up for US!!!!!!!!!!! All I know is maybe if everyone starts complaining to them at council meetings someone might get heard.
Youll get nowhere going after the Borough. Go after the contractor. They have insurance for this kind of thing.
Get a quote for the damage and submit it to the contractor via certified mail. Insist on a check to cover reimbursement within 10 days. If they fail to pay, take them to Bova. Seems like a cut-n-dry case to me.... Good luck.
