K-9
I am not sure if many people in the borough are aware that Brentwood Police Department has lost a member of the force.Ranger, the departments' K9 had to be put down recently.Deepest sympathy to Officer Mulhullon and his family for their loss.
I hope that there are plans in the works to remember this great officer who brought a special skill to the people of Brentwood Borough.

Thats terrible. Hopefully we will get a new one for Milt. The dog is an invaluable member of our community, always there to depend on to bite the hell out of the criminals that try to work within our borough!!!!!
I agree. The dog was a great addition to the department.I hope council does something special to honor Ranger. He was, after all,a police officer.
As of right now, there are NO plans to honor Ranger. A police officer passes away and this is how they remember him. Ranger was the top dog in the area. Having to have to read what the chief and mayor said in the record actually made me mad. The fact is the K-9 program was not supported. Out of respect for Ranger and Milt, I will say no more. Good bye and rest in peace Ranger, you will be trully missed and never forgotten.
Watcher,
I agree with you 100%.Ranger was a part of that department longer than some of the 2-legged officers. There should be a memorial or something done to honor what he and Milt did for this area.I don't attend the meetings in that borough, but maybe someone should raise the issue. The article listed all of these great things that Ranger did-let's acknowledge that.I am a little disappointed in the department. The other officers should be pushing this for a fellow officer.
Outside of the department,Ranger was a sweet dog and I am sure Milt and his family will miss him.
Indeed, the Borough has lost a great deal with the passing of Ranger. The Borough officials ought to get themselves together and find another K-9 officer. Ranger sure earned his Alpo!
It is my understanding that the Department has applied to several programs for grants for another dog.One is the program that Big Ben has for K-9 dogs.Milt is the logical choice since he is already experienced as a handler. There would be no need for the expense of training another officer.I hope that they follow through.
Ranger was top dog and did certainly earn his alpo, even if the boro didnt buy it. The boro and the police would be foolish not to try and pursue another K-9. But what really urks me to no end was the mayor and the chief saying how great he was and how special A dog he was when both of them didnt care one bit. It is my understanding that the EMS honored Milt and Ranger with A plaque and to this day still have miss you Ranger on there sign. Bravo to them, shows that at least one boro organization cares!
I think we have a Christmas miracle,Watcher. You and I actually agree on something! I think all involved should be ashamed of them selves for the lack of ceremony and recognition that should have been.Ranger certainly earned it,and it would have been a great way to thank Milt also.
The Mayor and Chief care ......... are you kidding me ?????? If Ranger was a corrupt criminal mechanic with free golf passes .......... well thats a whole new story now isn't it ?????
