Jefferson Hills Council: How productive can they truly be?

I recently attended a Jefferson Hills council meeting. I can not understand how this group of people can be prodcutive. The group spent almost an hour blamming people for something that they have to deal with. When pointing fingers to past council maybe the current council should look to who fills their seets. Four out of the current council memebers served on the council that most of them are so quick to bash. How can this be productive for the borough if all that is going to occur is finger pointing and bashing?

Spitfire, your comment may ring true but please be more specific about the issue you are talking about for those of us who do not attend the meetings. I agree that finger pointing for the sake of passing blame is not good. But again, what was the issue?

JHResident,
I'm talking about the fact that the current council spent almost an hour disscussing the cost of porter poties at the schools for sporting events. They also spent almost 45 minutes blamming previous council for a contract involving the sewage system. They go back and forth trying to get a name out of each other. Almost like a game. There is no way this can be productive.

I applaud Starship Trooper for having the courage to identify himself, as the same cannot be said for JHResident, who, given the disingenuous nature of the interrogation above, seems to be more concerned with the "specifics" as it relates to potential identification of the blogger in his audience, rather than the actual debate of the issue itself. I also find it quite interesting that JHResident chooses to demean and defame all those who do not agree with his stance on the issues, yet he is the first to accuse others of such behavior. Perhaps Toby-Want-To-Be could dedicate the next verse of his theme song, The Jefferson Hills-BULLIES, to JHResident.

Cmon Court Jester no need to call him Starship Trooper any longer. It's Bob Marlow. Please show me where I have demeaned and/or defamed anybody. I guess I'm not allowed to speak for the other side? And I'm sorry I didn't realize this was a debate that was taking place but, if it is how can you have a debate without a view from both sides? This is a democracy in which all views should and can be heard isn't it? Your calling it courage what Bob did? Who didn't know it was him? If it's so courageous why don't you be the next one to identify yourself. Bit of advice though, better do as Bob did and go back and edit some of your postings first.

Seriously, is this not fun or what??

I prefer Starship Trooper. I know you guys think its gay and it invokes images of Star Trek conventions and what not, but I still like it. You've heard of Jefferson Starship, well I'm a trooper for the Jefferson Hills Starship, and we need as many troopers as we can recruit. Now, you can get on board and help us fight the good fight, or you can stay at home and keep on criticizing. Either way, I am proud to be a trooper, so I would appreciate it if you would refer to me on these blogs by the blog name of my choice, Starship Trooper. That is unless of course you want to reveal your real name as well. Then, I would be happy for us both to use our real names. Until you are man enough to do that, its only fair that you use my blog name as well. Thank you very much!
