Brownsville Resurfacing Problems

If you haven't noticed, Brentwood is repaving Brownsville Road. The last week has seen work at the Brentwood Town Center. My assumption is that the rest of the Borough is next.

Does anyone have a problem with the construction crew blocking off all traffic on the road and rerouting it down through 51 and the back streets of Brentwood at the tail end of rush hour?

Can anyone tell me why every other road in this State can be repaved simultaneously with traffic?

Does anyone have a problem with scrapers and endless BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP until the wee hours of the morning?

Does anyone other than me work and need sleep?

Can anyone tell me why this wasn't scheduled properly and with consideration of the citizens?

And besides, why did it take a week to do a job that could have been done in three days? Prep, scrape, repave. I've seen it done hundreds of times, on every type of road, in every condition. Somehow in Brentwood, it becomes some monster project.

Can someone tell me why?

You should be thankful your road is being repaved. Brentwood is bustling with progress. Quit your complaining.

I have to agree with this one. They started resurfacing the street in front of my driveway 7 days ago, and it is still not finished. I was feeling tollerant at first, but it has been 7 days and I have seen the men out there working 2 out of 7 days. That is 7 days that I have had to park almost 2 blocks from my house because the street is now lined with cars (some of which just don't park in their driveways) and I do live on a rather big hill mind you. 7 days I have had to lug my 6 month old baby up that rather big hill with my 5 year old behind me whining the whole way, not to mention groceries and what not. "Use a stroller!" I thought one day, not a good idea since I had no way to get it up my driveway since there is a bulldozer parked at the bottom of the driveway which hasn't been turned on in 7 days. Call me a complainer if you want but I had to vent somehow being that I just got home from working a 12 hour shift over night (7pm-7am, and I actually didn't get done until 8am), then I had to walk 2 blocks up a large hill to listen to jackhammers while I try to go to bed. If that doesn't warrant a little whining, I don't know what does. And honestly. . .I thought the street was fine!
