Brentwood

When I moved to Brentwood yeas ago, it was A great little town. Now its falling apart and I am afraid it might be to late. The mayor is about as useless as...well useless.Taxes are sky high, and they wonder why people are moving. You would think the mayor would try to do something. I have seen the boro in action many times and it is quiet the joke. From the antics of the council and the front office to the police dept. It is all A waste. Dont get me wrong, we need police, just not that police dept.We would be much better off and safer contracting to Baldwin or Whitehall. There are 2 or 3 decent officers who try to do there jobs but are generally held back and looked down upon by the chief. The rest are all total, unprofessional wastes who just want to go out and give tickets and chase kids around. The building inspector is another example, I really just think he has no clue to what he is supposed to do. Just call and ask him to look into something, thats if you can get A hold of him. Brentwood needs A lot of help, it needs for some people to go away, some people to help, and professional services, probably the only professional service there is is the ambulance service. Brentwood needs 911, someone is going to die if they dont get rid of those dispatchers. I would say come on people go to A council meeting and be heard but I have been to them and it is A painful thing watching A bunch of children. Remember these people at election, lets get rid of them, NOW!

It's painful to read your blogs. I really don't mean to be rude, but, did you go on beyond elementary school? If you are going to continue to inundate us with your vast knowledge of everything and anything (lol), there are night classes which might improve your spelling, grammar and punctuation issues. Case in point: It is "I" you capitalize, not "A"!!! And, that's just the beginning!
I am so glad that Wedding Singer brought us back to a blog from the past before I became a blogger on this site. I am a little confused by your comment regarding Mr. Kammermier. Are you saying he was one of the problems in Brentwood? Please explain...
Wow, thanks for that wedding singer, A year later
watcher you hit the nail on the head. I can tell you first hand that the chief of police does not give 2 cents for this boro he only wants to collect a pay check. there are several cops that are good, but some of these officers ( the chiefs little army) thats what us lifers call them are usless. there has been a petition going threw the boro to get rid of the chief i have not signed it now i am willing to go door to door change needs to start at the top. and its time that brentwoods "top cop" be the first to go
You may be right about the police chief and as you put it his little army but from what I hear he gets no cooperation from some of the officers on the force. Just remember that these police officers are in one of the strongest unions around which protects them from almost all ramifications of their actions. It is very hard to run a department efficiently when at every turn someone is running to the union or backstabbing you. As far as your petition to rid the boro of him you may want to rethink this. He supposedly has a very iron clad contract so if this council thinks that he will just go away - they are mistaken - and the bottom line here is it will cost US the taxpayers of Brentwood big $$$$$$$$$ if they try to fire him. Remember Chief Babish - (Oh how could we forget him). He was fired as won in court and got a very nice chunk of change in the process. As far as I am concerned he was the start of the ruination of this nice little boro. Butelli may not be the best police chief but he certainly is not the worst and this just sounds like a witch hunt to me.
The Brentwood Borough Police Chief is an appointed position, with civil service protection due to council allowing him to take a "non-competitive oral examination". His removal can be accomplished with out "$$$$$$$$$"-as stated above "with cause". Insiders will tell you that there is plenty of that from misappropriation of the police car, improper discipline and violation of Officers rights, which with or without a union has been proven time and time again, favoritism to what I hear is "his little army", improper fiscal responsibility with manpower resulting in a gross waste of tax dollars, failure to place priorities on crime such as the drug problem (which he denies) in Brentwood, ect....
We appointed a new council to correct the "problems" in Brentwood. Tom Kammermier was already gone when the new council was seated, now the attention needs focused on a new chief of police with some grass roots dedication to our community.
