Bethel Park high school plans on hold

Bethel Park School District officials will likely appeal last night's decision by the municipal zoning board that rejected a district request to build a new high school, spokeswoman Vicki Flotta said.
The board voted 3-1 against granting permission for the district to build an $81 million school on its campus, municipal planning director Jerry Duke said. The campus is zoned as a conservation area, and the district can only do limited renovations without zoning-board approval, the Pittsburgh Trib reports.

Having 3 kids in school i see no reason to build a new school and waste tax dollars. I went to school at the campus and it was something that we all really enjoyed. Kids get to walk outside and get fresh air and its a nice break form the long school days. Bethel Park School Board needs to stop spending money and start lowing are taxes. The school as it is now is just fine.
