I can not understand why none of the current politicians running for the Presisdency in 2008 have not mentioned the fact that Barack Obama is a Muslim? Not only was his real father a Muslim, but his step father is also a Muslim, and his Mother is an atheist. I don't think that during World War Two a member of the Shinto religion would have even dared put their name on a ballot. That just happened to be the religion of Japan. But today we are at war with the Muslims, the word Jihad in their language means "Holy War" that is their take on this fight not ours. I know that today the internment camps built to hold the Japanese back then are almost considered taboo to even mention. However they did work. We had no Japanese trying to blow up buildings in the States. I believe the time is due to either deport these radical Muslims or put them into internment holding facilities, just like we did with the Japanese back then. War is an ugly bloody thing, but if you are going to get into it, you have to do so with both feet in the water. Keep America safe. Get these Muslims under control, they are killing our fighting men and women.

This is one of the most racial/predjudice things I have ever read.
I've read worse. I'm tired of all the political correctness. While I may not agree with everything he says about the candidate and Muslim religion in general, it is his opinion. Much of what he says is true. Keep it up.
I am also sick and tired of all the political correctness. The word needs to get out and people need to discuss these things. Let's be real and tell it like it is.

Nope I never read the Koran, I'm a Christian, so I read the Holy Bible. However I did bury my nephew after the 1991 Gulf war. I also served in Viet Nam back in 1966. My beliefs are if you are in a war to serve America the best way to come home alive is to make the enemy die for his country instead of you dying for yours. My advice to my nephew, before he left to die in Desert Storm, was to keep your head down, shoot to kill, and pray you will come home. I would repeat that advice to any young man or woman going into combat.
We are more concerned with being politically correct, than preserving our nation. There is already a Muslim who has been elected to the Congress from Michigan( Democrat). He even took his oath of office on the Koran.
At the risk of being called narrow minded, may I suggest we start to protect our borders, language and culture.
Most of the radicals your worried about are being watched. And if they get out of line, they will either be scooped up and sent to Guantanamo, or they will be lynched by the mob, period.
Lets face it, some orthodox Muslims feel that Islam is "under assault" from the West. Not intentionally, of course, but you cannot stop the free flow of information, freedom, whether it be government, speech, living as one wishes, etc.
TV, and more the internet, allow the free flow of information. It's no wonder those who live a lifestyle that is virtually unchanged in 2000 years feel threatened by what they see coming out of the West. The radicals feel that they are under assault. From women being free equal citizens to the general acceptance of typically in-the-closet groups such as gays, to a secular society, alcohol, the West is an anathema to these radicals.
It isn't that these things are absent from their society, but they are an undercurrent, hidden in the closets, whispered about. And generally people want freedom, not oppression. Their societies, for the first time in all of history, are completely open to information that, for the most part, is taboo at home. Before, thousands of miles of sand and desert segregated them. Now, they are one click away from the world.
And the fact is that we are not pushing our way on them, but large segments of their society want freedom but are hemmed-in by tradition. There's no stopping the ideas and values of western society: it's a juggernaut. And in the mind of these fanatics, the only choice is to destroy us in the literal sense.
I think that having Obama as a progressive Muslim can be a beacon of enlightenment for those Muslims that wish to move forward into the future. I don't feel threatened by him or Islam. Islam is very compatible with Judeo-Christian philosophies. In fact, they have extremely similar roots. Obama shows that Islam can be progressive as well as a component in a modern, free society.
It is really a great strength of the US to be able to be this way. Lets face it, 40% of America is made up of Germans or those of German descent. In World War I and II Germans were watched, and many changed their names. But they were all Americans for the most part. And finally, many German Americans fought for America, and a German-American was the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces that lead to the defeat of the Third Reich. Again, illustrating our American strength: E Pluribus Unum.
I agree that securing our borders, English language, and American Way is more important than demonizing those who are caught in the middle because of religion.
Islam is not the religion of peace. Most of the wars being fought in the world today involve Muslims. I guess you haven't seen the headless bodies of Christians in places taken over by Muslims.
The Germans who came to the USA became Americans. They were fighting for their country, a nation they believed in. Muslims in England and Michigan do not love country. They want to destroy the country they live in.
I will start to buy into the moderate Muslim argument when I see them protesting the atrocities committed in the name of Islam, condemning radical leaders and joining the culture as opposed to separating themselves from it, with the goal of taken it over. Don’t forget the Nazis and Muslims worked together in trying to solve the “Jewish Problem” in WWII.
And I guess you haven't seen the bodies of US Military members, who also happen to be Muslims, that died while fighting in Iraq, have you?
All you're doing is spitting out some rhetoric you've heard on some evening news program. Making such generalizations about Muslims in the U.S. is almost as ridiculous as me wasting my time replying to you.
And I guess Christianity is a religion of peace? Have you read your bible lately? C'mon, most of these bibles, korans, and torahs are loaded with lot's of good ideas, but in order to subscribe to the religion you have to accept the dark side of the document and the accompanying institutional dogma. Of all religions, I would think that Buddhism is the least offensive in terms of being a religion of Peace, however. But those which were born out of the Middle East? Ha, they are full of blood, war, and misery.
The truth is that demagogues have hijacked a religion. It has happened in Christianity as well as Judeaism and countless other religions throughout the world.
I think that you missed the import of my comment, and it revolved around Barak Obama.
You are right about the state of new immigrants today. Not only Muslims, but people from Mexico, Central and South America come here and demand to retain much cultural heritage often supported by Leftist Anti-American groups like the American Civil Liberties Union and bozo's like Ted Kennedy. Missing is the pride in learning English and learning how to fit-into American culture. This was the way of our parents and grandparents. Not today. The 60's liberal revolution has come home to roost.
The word Moderate Muslim is a funny thing because if you read the Koran, you can't be "Moderate". . . you either are, or are not. We know that humanity is not defined in shades of black and white. And the majority of Muslims are not faceless drones, even if they act this way sometimes (remember all of our christian German brothers raising the stiff-arm salute? Were they much different from our German-American brothers???).
Whats the lesson? If Barak is an American, plays by the rules, defends our country, and happens to be Muslim, he offers a light of hope for those who love freedom and live within the unyielding bounds of the current flavor of Militant Islam.
I worry more about these yellow bastard leftists who, at every turn, demonize the War and effectively serve as a fifth-column for the enemy. If I were an al Queda member, my impression would be "they are pussies and they are going to cut-and-run like we thought they would". This fifth-column should be sent on a long Caribbean vacation at Club Gitmo.
1. Is anybody else sick and tired of hearing about global warming? Where are all of our terrible hurricanes in the tropics that were predicted? In the 70's the complaints were that the air was polluted and needed cleaned up. Now we cleaned up the air and the pollution is gone and the sun is beaming. So now we have global warming. The environmentalists are always complaining.
2. Is anybody else disgusted that the Democratic candidates want to cover undocumented workers with their supposed universal healthcare. What are they thinking. They complain about the cost of the war every time I turn on the news, but it is OK to cover Pedro with universal healthcare. What is our country coming too? The cost of our freedom is too expensive, but we can cover Pedro on our healthcare? Give me a break.
I would rather fight the war in the Middle East than live like Israel with bombings at night clubs and malls every time you turn around. We need to keep the war OVER THERE where it belongs. Besides they are used to wars, they are always fighting with each other anyway.
Just because someone is Muslim doesn't mean he won't be the best president we've ever had. Would it be different it he was Jewish or even Atheist? Why does it matter what god the man prays to? Atleast he believes in a higher power. Just because someone is Muslim/Islamic doesn't make them a terrorist. Would you be against a Japenese American becoming President because of our "history" with them.
Also, I hate to break it to all of you but the USA was built on immagration. Your family, unless you are 100% Native American came from another country. Yes, I believe that there should be limits set and illegal immagration is a major problem that this nation has. However, we also have to look at the big picture.
Why don't we worry about the "legal" immagrants within our nation that walk around speaking non native tongue. I believe that it more of an outrage that them being here. Your in my country, speak my language. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense... I'm still new...
If it was up to the muslims, all the women in this country would be wearing burkas and would be stripped of their freedoms. They have no plans of integrating into our culture they just want to push their way of life on everyone. Take a look at the places they have already taken over in this country. Including areas of Michigan and New Jersey. Police don't even want to go there.
Here's a little experiment-fly over to Saudi Arabia or Pakistan and walk around looking like an American. What do you think would happen to you?

We need to quit being so tolerant to all of these things. Enough is enough already. How about the ones who are here and they don't want to take off the head gear when getting their photos taken for their drivers license or at the airport at security or even at the pool (ie. Sandcastle). We have laws here for everyones safety and they test these laws to create fear. It's dispicable.
They don't deserve to be here if they are going to be so disruptive. If they want to live this way, with limited freedom, then they should go to their homeland--back to the Middle East.

I don't know how many people know this? But every President since George Washington, with the exception of J.F.K. was a member of the Masonic order. Kennedy could not be a Mason because of his being a Catholic. He was however a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic standard of the Masonic Order. Barack Hussien Obama is not a Mason or Knight of Columbus and he never will be. So check your countries history before you decide to go against a tradition you seem to be ignorant of.Read a book before making childish statements. Perhaps you should have stayed in school longer?
